Technology for the Future is the name of the latest from NastriTex, the Lombard company that is a leader in the manufacturing and development of textiles and technical materials for the production of compact cosmetics. Technology for the Future isn’t a product but rather, a family of products that have sustainability at their core and are inspired by the principles of a circular economy: reduce, reuse, recycle.
FUTURA
The first of these green products, Futura, is created with polyester that is made completely from recycled fibers. High-performing, 100% sustainable and so innovative that it was awarded as one of the most creative and revolutionary in the sector at the last IT Products Awards 2020, Innovation Tree at MakeUp In Paris. A debut that would seem to foreshadow great success for this new generation of products.
FUTURA’S TACTILE AND SENSORIAL PERFORMANCES
“From the tactile and sensorial point of view, technical textiles realized with recycled fibers like Futura are very similar to if they had been made traditionally, – explains Federico Mocchetti, General Manager of NastriTex – Looking at them and touching them, you can’t see or feel any difference. Also, in terms of performance, they’ve shown to be excellent products. In certain cases, they have even outperformed their traditional equivalents.
The price gap? It exists but we are convinced that the market is ready to take it on as the entire cosmetic industry supply chain has its eye on sustainability.
The next goal? To enrich Technology For the Future with other products and with the sustainability certification of the material according to the Global Research Standard, but much of this will depend on the market reaction”.
For Technology For the Future, the eco-focused project that the team has been working on for years and fully believes in, the only challenge facing its growth is market endorsement or in other words, cosmetic manufacturers.
