The green touch will be the common denominator amongst all the novelties that Eurovetrocap will present at Cosmopack 2020. The company, focused on the sales and decoration of glass and plastic containers for the cosmetic industry, will launch solutions that are able to perfectly match the aesthetic value of a product with particular attention to sustainability.
On this theme, the company has decided to focus its efforts in three directions:
- research and use of recycled materials,
- reusable solutions,
- mono-material packaging
LAURA GREEN BY EUROVETROCAP
With regards to recycled materials (recycled glass, polyethylene and polypropylene), in addition to standard bottles in recycled PE and PET and various jars in PP, the biggest development is LAURA GREEN. LAURA GREEN is the 90% recycled glass line of which 60% is post-consumer recycled, available as a warehouse standard and purchasable in small lots. Numerous accessories in post-industrial recycled polypropylene can be paired with the glass.
This is a material that is very interesting because it allows for, even on white, a chrome-like effect that is increasingly closer to the look of virgin (non-recycled) glass. Studies of migration and transfer carried out have demonstrated the use and efficacy of PP for application in the cosmetics field as well.
NEW AIRLESS SYSTEM
There are also lots of new innovations at the level of refills. Two new Airless refillable solutions have been added to the already well-known Vaso Refill and Vaso Licata, the latter of which is available in recycled glass with an internal compartment. This maximizes the sustainability factor: customers can replace the internal part in PP and reuse the external glass several times.
One of the most complex challenges in the sector of packaging concerns the development of mono-material solutions. The response of Eurovetrocap is: in addition to two jars that are guaranteed to be leak-proof thanks to the presence of a “tige” (a structural alternative to a seal), they have also introduced a new Airless 50mL jar in PP which has a metal-free, 98% PP pump.
ZERO IN PACK AND THE COLLABORATION WITH BOCCONI UNIVERSITY
Zero in pack will make its debut at Cosmopack, the new partnership focused on planning, creating, and supplying packaging with a low environmental impact. What will Zero in pack offer? Products, of course, but also education and training.
All of the Zero in pack products, will in fact be accompanied by a LCA (Life Cycle Assessment), realized with the support of the Green Department of Bocconi University. To truly understand how and where to act in order to reduce the environmental impact of a product along its entire life cycle.
Eurovetrocap is looking forward to seeing you at the next edition of Cosmopack HALL 18, BOOTH F28.
