In the world of beauty, can reduced environmental impact, aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand in a single packaging product? If we look at the latest concept collections launched by Eurovetrocap, #mono and #recycled, the answer would have to be a resounding yes.

#mono and #recycled offer a selection of innovative, on-trend items inspired by Pantone 2021 colours and conceived with a view to sustainability, one of the cornerstones of Eurovetrocap ‘s philosophy.

#MONO: RECYCLING IS EASIER THAN EVER

The first collection, #mono, brings together a number of solutions developed based on mono-material elements, compatible with existing recycling chains: the Refill 50 jar, the Parigi 24/410 dropper and the Ross 24/410 dispensing cap.

The Refill 50 jar is a solution that combines size impression and the ultimate sustainability. Not only can the packaging be used over and over by simply replacing the refill set, but the latter — made entirely from PIR or PCR PP — features an innovative sealing system that doesn’t require a gasket and makes end-of-life recycling that much easier. Both the glass jar and the PP cap can be customized with decorations of various kinds: internal coating, external coating, screen printing, hot stamping or pad printing.

Innovation with a sustainable twist is the common denominator carried over into two other new offerings from the Milan-based company as it espouses the mono-material philosophy: the Parigi 24/410 dropper and Ross 24/410 cap.

The former is a patented dropper consisting of two parts — a rigid tube and threaded cap — both made from PP, while Ross 24/410 is a dispensing cap whose distinguishing feature is a self-locking system and a security ring.

The Ross 24/410 cap, for which two patent applications have been submitted, delivers an airtight closure and protects the formula inside thanks to the “self-locking teeth” both inside the cap and on the neck of the bottles. The system has been designed to ensure security and the ultimate sustainability: once opened for the first time, the security ring stays inside the cap so there’s no danger of it ending up as litter.

In addition to making end-of-life recycling easier, the #mono solutions feature other tangible advantages: ease of use, functionality, reduced use of materials and hence less waste both up and down the supply chain, and greater cost-effectiveness.

#RECYCLED, ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS CIRCULARITY

Meanwhile, the other collection, #recycled, comprises items made from post-consumer (PCR) or post-industrial (PIR) recycled waste and marks another step towards circularity. As part of this collection, we have the new Laurence recycled jars and the 30ml Make Up bottle.

For this collection, the Make Up 30 bottle — an existing part of the Eurovetrocap portfolio — comes in a new 60% PCR + 30% PIR recycled glass version, paired with the new Make Up ID 18/400 pump and the new Pamela dispenser.

The other new addition comes in the shape of the Laurence 30, 50, 100 and 200ml jars, featuring cylindrical shapes and clean lines. Both the glass jar and the cap are recycled.

The Laurence jars add the finishing touch to the Laura line — one of Eurovetrocap’s all-time bestsellers — made up of makeup bottles made from 90% recycled glass, with PCR accounting for 60%, fitted with white accessories made from post-industrial PP.
