Packaging Premiere – the selective luxury packaging show – will take place from 26 to 28 May 2020 in Fieramilanocity.
Innovation, research, a focus on the latest trends and a strong international vocation: these are the objectives that Packaging Premiere has set itself since its debut in 2017. They have turned it into a reference point for top-of-the-range packaging in the cosmetics and perfumes, fine wines and spirits, gourmet food, fashion, accessories…
THE 2020 EDITION OF PACKAGING PREMIERE
“Packaging Premiere grows consistently, while maintaining its high standards in terms of exhibitors and visitors. We are working towards greater internationalization and want to boost our position on a global level.
We’ve therefore forged a partnership with two key events in the cosmetics and perfume sector (PCD) and the fine wines and spirits sector (PLD). Cosmetics and perfumes are a key- segment for us and we want to focus a good part of our development strategy on them,” states Pier Paolo Ponchia, organiser of Packaging Premiere.
The results of a survey of luxury packaging trends will be presented during the fair to provide an up-to-date overview of the dominant design, colors, finishes, materials and technologies. In Italy and also abroad.
INNOVATION, NEW TRENDS, COLORS, MATERIALS…
The Packaging Premiere program includes also the awaited contribution from the organisers of Pentawards, the annual award for excellence in packaging design.
What else? Other new features include the launch of a project focused on the concept of innovation, which will involve the exhibitors directly, inviting them to come up with creative and experimental artworks. The projects will be assessed by a jury of experts in the sector and will be showcased in a reserved area at the event.
Another key feature is art. Art, a common thread at Packaging Premiere, will have a special space all to itself: the Art Gallery. This year’s theme is the creative reuse of common packaging materials, with a view to sustainability.
THE PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE UNIVERSITIES
Packaging Première is also keeping up its focus on new generations and training. While the partnership with the Design Department of Politecnico di Milano continues, a new partnership has begun. It’s the one with Politecnico di Torino, as part of the first-level Master’s course in Eco Packaging Design.
