Luxe Pack Monaco: the return of capital of packaging

For three days, from 30 September to 2 October, the Principality of Monaco will become the packaging capital of the world when it hosts LUXE PACK. Since 1988, the venue has offered participants an immersive experience during the trade show and beyond, as the Grimaldi Forum, hotels, restaurants and more combine to form an interconnected whole. This unique setting has, over the years, helped build strong ties within this creative community.

LUXE PACK owes much of its status and appeal to the presence of high-level decision makers from both brands and suppliers. And every attendee can count on LUXE PACK to effectively develop and consolidate their professional and interpersonal relationships.

Interview with Fabienne Germond, Director of the LUXE PACK trade show.

What can you tell us about LUXE PACK 2024?

We have 450 exhibitors to date, including around fifty new exhibitors from 30+ different countries.

We’ve got the leaders in packaging, of course, but also designers and manufacturers of glass and crystalware, wood, porcelain, leather (to cite a few of the more original materials), experts in decorative finishing, 3D printing, promotional items, etc.

The new exhibitors have a very diverse range of profiles:

  • Newcomers represent more than 15 different countries of origin: Turkey, Portugal, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Switzerland, USA…;
  • A variety of materials such as glass and crystal with LA COMPAGNIE DES CRISTALLERIES DE SAINT LOUIS — a 430-year-old artisan glass-maker — and BOHEMIA JIHLAVA, as well as premium textiles with CONTEXTURE and cork and metal from J. C. RIBEIRO;
  • A breadth of expertise with, for example, exceptional finishing/decoration and manufacturers such as GRAWER POLSKA ANDRZEJ WLOCH and ACCESSORI SERVICE SRL.
  • In addition to the exhibitors traditionally present at LUXE PACK and their extensive innovation in eco-responsible packaging, we are also welcoming companies whose core business relies exclusively on sustainable alternatives such as CARBIOS, SUSMATA BY SCAYS — which offers a 100% sustainable, plant-based and organic alternative to genuine leather, made from dry tea waste — and BIO PLASTICS RECYCLING.

Throughout its long history, LUXE PACK has always served as the showcase for major launches in the sector. Most exhibitors seize the opportunity to reveal their new products. And this year is particularly rich in innovation, as evidenced by the record number of submissions to the Formes de Luxe Awards, a LUXE PACK partner, with around one hundred products being exhibited in the Atrium Hall during the show. This year, it is also worth noting the launch of new categories such as “home fragrances” and “design favourites”. As a reminder, the Formes de Luxe Awards reward innovation over the past year in a ceremony that takes place at the trade show on Monday at 5.45 p.m. in the Prince Pierre room.

LUXE PACK Formulation is 10 years old

This year, LUXE PACK Formulation, dedicated to formulation and full-service, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. It is an opportunity to showcase our exhibitors specialising in standard or custom formulation, packaging, filling, full-service, private label and all related services. Beauty professionals can find their packaging and formula provider in one place. To celebrate this anniversary, we have created a whole programme of events featuring textures and the senses.

Buoyed by its success, LUXE Home is back

Launched in 2023, LUXE Home is a favourite among large luxury beauty companies, of course, but also among brands in the spirits, gourmet food and even automotive sectors who are seeking to create an olfactory identity and broaden their customer offering.

In a dedicated area, visitors can find candles, home fragrances, incense holders, diffusers and sprays, candle holders, candle snuffers, wick cutters, matches and premium cases, etc.

Exhibitors who have confirmed their presence in this space all view this expansion dedicated to home fragrance as an excellent opportunity for their companies to position themselves as a key player in a fast-growing sector.

In addition, an exhibition area will highlight a selection of “Home Fragrance” products from exhibitors with stands in the other Halls, offering brands a full panorama of this sector in one place.

KeepTrack, the updated “V2” visitor tool

Launched in 2023, the app that allows exhibitors to scan visitors and visitors to scan exhibitor stands was hugely popular. Indeed, it simplifies visitor logging and facilitates smooth and efficient follow-up. In an effort to continuously improve our customer service, this year, the ‘V2’ will also provide access to the conference programme, maps of the various Halls, and the list of exhibitors.

The special LUXE PACK Paris-Monaco express train

As part of a constant drive to improve customer service, and based on its success in 2023, we are once again offering private high-speed train service in an effort to reduce participants’ carbon footprint while optimising their trade show experience.

“Very warm welcome and service” or “Incredibly well organised, congratulations to the team!”: these were the comments last year’s travellers left in our survey, which showed an average satisfaction rating of 9.4/10! Much more than just a trade show, LUXE PACK Monaco is an exclusive networking and business event as brands and manufacturers meet in an open-minded atmosphere particularly conducive to building relationships and doing business. The private express train takes this philosophy one step further: the experience begins as soon as the train pulls out of the Gare de Lyon in Paris.

What is on the programme this year?

The past five years have been marked by events of such magnitude that they have exponentially accelerated economic and societal transformation on a global scale.

As always, our programme has been carefully designed to keep up with the latest industry trends and news. More than 50 international speakers will cover key topics such as design, the circular economy, recycling, consumer trends, connected experiences and home fragrances.

Not forgetting, of course, the LUXE PACK in Green Award, in partnership with INFINITY GLOBAL. We have been organising this award for 15 years now and it has become the leading event, highlighting the best solutions and sustainable initiatives from our exhibitors. We have received a record number of applications that promise an unprecedented level of eco-design! Our exhibition space, dedicated conferences, and awards ceremonies are all designed to provide our attendees with a clear overview of international trends in sustainability.

In short, this year once again, there will be plenty for visitors to do between discovering the expertise of 450 exhibitors, attending a programme of high-profile conferences, and enjoying creative activities tailored especially to the trade show!
