During Cosmoprof 2026, the Antares Vision Group will be on hand to propose traceability solutions for exports to Russia that both maintain access to the Russian market and protect brand integrity. Companies in the Cosmetic sector are required to comply with digital marketing obligations of Chestny ZNAK (the Russian system of digital trade stability in anti-counterfeiting).
Our interview with Carlo Ravelli, Business Owner, Cosmetics at Antares Vision Group.
With just a few days to go before Cosmopack 2026, what will the common thread of Antares Vision Group’s proposal be at the show?
Our focus will be on safety because that’s what the market is asking for. Safety today operates on multiple levels, from consistent product quality, brand protection, supply chain control, traceability and the ability to guarantee that what reaches the end consumer fully reflects the company’s promised values and standards. On the one hand, there is far more attention on brand protection, anti-counterfeiting measures and control of distribution channels in order to safeguard reputation, positioning and product value. But on the other, companies increasingly feel the need to ensure consistent quality. In the Beauty sector consumer trust is mainly built on the reliability of the product experience.
Staying on safety, is it true that the market considers safety a multi-layered goal as well as a measurable and manageable process? What does this all imply?
Nowadays, the market also expects that safety is both a goal and a measurable and controllable process. This means relying on solutions that not only detect potential issues, but also generate data, improve efficiency, reduce waste and enable faster intervention along the production line and the supply chain.
In short, the Cosmetic sector is looking for technologies that turn safety into a tangible value: brand protection, verifiable quality, traceability and operational control.
LDA is amongst one of the innovations you are presenting this year. This is an inline micro-leak detection 100% inspection system without the need to stop production. How does it work?
The most innovative aspect of LDA – Leak Detection for Aerosol is the inline application of the “sniffing” method using infrared (IR) spectroscopy to detect micro leaks. It inspects 100% of the production without slowing down the line.
This represents a real technological leap compared to using the traditional hot water bath which for years has been the most widely used method for leak detection in aerosols. That system relies heavily on the visual detection of air bubbles, making it inherently more subjective and dependent on time waiting for the container to reach the thermal equilibrium. With LDA, inspection becomes analytical, objective and digital.
What are the other innovative aspects of this technology?
Another distinctive feature is the system’s ability to operate at full production speed without requiring stops or slowdowns, and also the fact that it takes up a much smaller space compared to traditional hot water tanks and drying systems. This makes it much easier to integrate into existing lines and makes a more efficient use of factory space.
Innovation also extends beyond leak detection – it also offers process insight. LDA can accurately identify the critical area from which the leak originates, such as a valve, crimp or joint, and give immediate feedback that can be used for targeted maintenance and line optimization.
In addition, the system is designed with a strong focus on industrial digitalization: ready-to-go for Industry 4.0 integration via the OPC-UA protocol and automatic storage of production data, making inspection not only more effective but also fully traceable.
Finally, LDA stands out for the versatility of its applications. They work with various types of containers – steel, aluminium, glass or plastic – and are able to detect a vast array of propellants including hydrocarbons such as LPG, propane and butane gas, as well as CO2. They fit snugly with the Cosmetics industry since efficiency, safety and consistent quality must coexist with high production speeds.
Concluding with a look back at 2025 and then forward at 2026…
For us, 2025 was a year of consolidation and evolution. On one hand, we strengthened synergies with our long-standing partners, while on the other we closely monitored market developments to further refine of our value proposition and to align that even more closely with the real needs of Cosmetic companies.
It was a year of targeted investments – both technological and strategic – aimed at building solid foundations for future growth. Along this path, we focused on further enhancing the key themes that are now central to the sector: product integrity, process quality, traceability and brand protection.
Looking ahead to 2026, we expect the market to become increasingly oriented toward solutions that combine control, data and industrial integration. Our ambition is to continue being a trusted partner for cosmetics companies seeking to protect their brand while enhancing efficiency, reliability and process insight through advanced technologies.
